I love St David’s Day – the hint of spring in the air, the birds singing, the cheerful daffodils.  I am wearing my daffodil today and feeling emotionally connected to the land of my fathers (and mothers).  I felt even better when I heard someone on Radio 4 this morning quoting St David’s supposed final words to his followers:

“do the little things, the small things you’ve seen me doing”.

It’s a good reminder – it’s the small things that make a difference, whether it’s acts of kindness for others, or buying less stuff and recycling more, or planting trees and wildflowers…..whatever makes you feel connected to the people and world around you.
